Uh Oh! Annual Inspection Is Coming!
When I was a kid we were dirt poor but my mother always managed to keep us in rental houses instead of apartments. I never realized either how difficult or how valuable that was until a few years back. I’ve been living in a low-cost housing apartment here in Morgan Hill for two years now and, if my job didn’t require I live with my clients I’d be out of here in a heartbeat. It’s a really nice place, overall and the buildings are only about 3 years old so have little wear and tear.
However, one of my roommates reminded me this evening of my least favorite part of apartment living: the annual inspection. Every year the privacy of the caverns (as we’ve named our apartment) is invaded by guys with clipboards looking every where for any damage or other problems. This year will be worst then most as one of my room mates managed to do some serious water damage to his room a few months back.
Luckily an online associate referred me to WaterRestoration911.com which is a national company dedicated to providing water restoration services. I applied for a quote online, got a quick response and they’re going to be out here before the end of the week, just in time for our annual inspection next Tuesday.
