Morgan Hill Gas Prices Hit Three Year Low
I just took this photo about 15 minutes ago at the World gas station at the corner of Monterey & San Pedro here in Morgan Hill. That’s right, after hanging on for more than a week at $2.09 per gallon, World was the first gas station in the South County to break below the $2.00 mark.
One year ago today gas prices in Morgan Hill were at $3.48. They dropped to $3.11 in February before climbing to an all-time high of $4.57 in early June. And now we’ve finally crossed that giant barrier and have $1.99 per gallon gasoline for the first time since 2005! That’s a drop of 56.5% in about five months. And yet, you don’t hear anyone talking about it. I guess that’s just further proof that Americans would rather complain then celebrate.
