Looking For A Crowd This Thanksgiving?
It’s no secret that Morgan Hill has a largish population of senior citizens. It’s also well known that Thanksgiving and Christmas are times that get people thinking of family. This can lead to pretty severe loneliness and depression. As someone who has spent quite a few Thanksgivings alone I’m not only aware of this, but have seen it in the eyes of my fellow loners wandering about on these holidays.
Apparently, someone associated with the Morgan Hill Centennial recreation Center has experienced this as well. Because next Thursday, Thanksgiving, they’ll be hosting a Thanksgiving dinner with freshly prepared turkey and all the trimmings at the Morgan Hill Senior Cafe (171 W. Edmundson). The feast starts at noon with seniors (60+) being charged a mere $2.00 and others a scant $5.00. If you know you’re going to be dining with them they’d appreciate you setting up a reservation at 408-782-1284.
