Maybe Using Movie Pickup Lines Isn’t Such A Great Idea
So, I’ve been considering dipping my toe back in the dating pool and, small town that Morgan Hill is I’m a bit hesitant to take my first few dry runs in the local waters. Word spreads way too quick in these small towns if you know what I mean. Luckily I recently discovered the Ultimate Flirting Championship over at the Extreme Style by VO5 website.
If you remember the old Dating Game television game show, then you’re already familiar with how this concept works. Only now the only prize is Victory Hair and you can play in the safety and security of your own home in order to avoid embarrassment. In fact, I’ll make it even easier by putting the game right here in this very post. Hang on a sec…
There, now you can see if you do any better than I all without actually missing the rest of my fascinating story
What I was trying to share with all of you illustrious readers was my sad attempts at picking up women with famous movie lines. The Notebook‘s “I want all of you. Forever. Every day.” seemed a little too heavy for an initial pick up line, as did Jerry McGuire‘s “You…complete me.” So, I headed back to the classics. After all, who could forget Clark Gable asking Jean Harlow “Mind if I get drunk with you?” in 1932′s Red Dust. Apparently everyone else competing in the Ultimate Flirting Championship, because I fell flat on my face.
Still, if you’re looking to brush up on your pick-up lines, or just kill a few minutes online, then have fun with the little widget. Just don’t try quoting Groucho Marx: “Marry me, and I’ll never look at another horse.”
