On The Move For Memory – The Alzheimer’s Memory Walk
Next month the Alzheimer’s Association will once again hold their annual Alzheimer’s Memory Walk. My daughter and I participated last year in honor of my grandfather (her great-grandfather) who I helped nurse while his health declined due, in part, to Alzheimer’s disease.
Unfortunately, there will not be a Memory Walk in Morgan Hill or anywhere else in the south county area. Our closest walk is, once again, at Seascape Park in Aptos on Saturday, September 27th with the San jose walk being a week earlier (Saturday, September 20th) at Arena Green Park.
But just because we’re not having a walk here in our humble hometown doesn’t mean we can’t participate – or even show up in force. The Alzheimers Association is currently seeking team captains to sign up via the links above. A team can be formed of any group of people – coworkers, family, neighbors, social clubs, etc and it would be great to see Morgan hill field quite a few teams this year.
Every 71 seconds, someone is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
Team up with the Alzheimer’s Association to help us fight it.
