Mythbusters Go Bust in Morgan Hill
One of my readers, Frank, posted a comment earlier today on my post about the Mythbusters coming to Morgan Hill-
Actually, I ended up not attending the event myself as I had the opportunity to be one of the first riders at Knott’s Berry Farm’s newest roller coaster, Pony Express. That event didn’t go as well as planned, so I felt pretty bad about using the Mythbusters tickets to bribe my boss and another friend/co-worker to cover my shift so I could go to Knott’s. It turns out, they didn’t exactly have a stellar time, either.
Apparently my expensive “Orchestra” seats were actually just folding chairs in a field. And Morgan Hill’s winds didn’t bother to take the evening off, so it was bloody cold as well as uncomfortable. I didn’t get a lot of details about the event (perhaps Frank can come back and share his thoughts), but I can tell you that my boss hasn’t even mentioned the event so it couldn’t have been very memorable for him.
My co-worker not only told me about the cold, but also that it was really pretty boring. Adam and Jamie talked for a little while, took a few questions, and then showed some “unrated” clips/bloopers from the show. Not really anything special from the report I received. in fact, it wasn’t even worth sitting in an uncomfortable chair, outside, while the wind blew, much less than $135 or so my tickets were worth. Not a single myth was busted on stage, nothing was ever in any danger of blowing up, and they didn’t even get to shake hands with their heroes.
