Do You Still Worry About Identity Theft?
While giving my mother’s maiden name, secret password, social security number and blood type to the Earthlink tech just so he could tell me to call back later I started thinking about something. Identity theft. Now this is not something I think about very often for two reasons-
- I’m so poor and have such lousy credit that anyone stealing my identity for credit purposes would be just as likely to make it better as to make it worse.
- I signed up with LifeLock, just in case.
You know LifeLock. They run those great ads where their CEO drives a truck around with his real Social Security number on it. That’s how confident he is in their service. If you think that’s all just a gimmick of some sort, then they’ve still got you covered. Because for only $10 per month you can not only have total piece of mind when it comes to securing your identity, but you also get their $1 Million Service Guarantee which states that if someone does manage to steal your identity while you have LifeLock they’ll cover all of your damages and expenses to set things right up to one million dollars. Now that’s piece of mind.
