29th Morgan Hill Mushroom Mardi Gras
I mentioned the Morgan Hill Mushroom Mardi Gras yesterday in my post about the art mushrooms that are coming to downtown Morgan Hill without realizing I’d yet to post about the Mardi Gras itself. Oops! Sorry.
The Morgan Hill Mushroom Mardi Gras is Morgan Hill’s annual street fair held over Memorial Day weekend. this year it will be May 24th and 25th in downtown Morgan Hill at the Community Center’s Outdoor Amphitheater and surrounding area, including the newly rejuvenated Depot Street from Main to Third Street.
As in years past there will be arts and crafts, gourmet food, microbrew beer, a wine garden, a Munchkin Land with rides, games and kids entertainment, and strolling musicians including Jimbo the Clown; Tony Marconi, The Organ Grinder; King & Queen of Mardi Gras; Dave Rainwater, Gold Country Fiddler & Minstrel; stilt walkers and many, many more!
The main entertainment stage (Amphitheater) will have live music performances from Find Your Roots, Pearl Alley, Fourway Free, the Lou DeLuca Band, The Houserockers, Spooning With Sharks, Chubby’s All Stars, AC Myles, and Crawdaddio. Additionally there weill be demonstrations and recitals from Champions Academy Gymnastics, The Little Gym, United Academy of Martial Arts, and Lana’s Dance Studio.
The Fourth Street Stage will present live music from Ashes Ashes, Off The Record, Fastlane Band, It’s All About, The Figureheads, Fourway Free, and Dirty Little Buddha. While the wine garden will be featuring Sam Rudin, Robby Longley, and Sam Rudin.
