Today’s The Day To Explore Frontier(s)
If you consider yourself a horror fan and you didn’t heed my call to arms to trek down to Los Angeles for the theatrical premier of the unrated Frontier(s), then I assume you’re planning on renting it from the local Hollywood Video over in Vineyard Town Center. No? Did you preorder your copy on Amazon.com? No? Well then only one thing makes sense…
You clearly haven’t seen the trailer. Go check it out now. Seriously. I’ll wait.
So, now you’re planning on getting the DVD, right? Yeah I thought so. Remember, this film was too intense for the After Dark Horrorfest. This so-called horrorfest had roughly 70% of the screens in 2007 as it did in 2006, by the way. Perhaps this is because they insisted the filmmakers water down their product to get an R rating? I certainly think so and many horror aficionados agree. But the guys behind Frontier(s) held their ground and now you can reap the benefits.
Our Hollywood Video in Morgan hill has it in stock as both a rental and for purchase (I bought mine earlier today), so there’s nothing stopping you from supporting filmmakers with true integrity and getting to experience theis film the way it was intended. Maybe with enough support we can still get the local Cinelux to bring Frontier(s) back in for a midnight movie. After all, the 35mm prints exist since they did manage to get in a few theaters last week. But until then, we’ll have to settle for the DVD.
