Chalk It Up Makes Graffiti Fun Again
Apologies for taking so long to get the Chalk It Up report posted. I’ve been having problems with my camera, so getting the pictures uploaded has been more difficult than expected. Nevertheless, here it is, as promised…
Personally, I was a little disappointed in the turnout. It appeared to me that they’d sold about 20 spots for people to chalk up and more than half of those were various downtown businesses. So, as a fundraiser I’m thinking it was a poor idea.
However, as a fun event I think it was successful. Z and I both enjoyed walking amongst the artists while simultaneously exploring downtown Morgan Hill. All of the artists involved seemed to be enjoying themselves as well. I’d like to see the event repeated next year, but perhaps with free spots and perhaps the sale of swag and acceptance of donations requested to cover the expenses.
But enough blabbing, Chalk It Up is all about the chalk art, so here’s some photos to remember the day…
