Morgan Hill Review

FOTA 2008 (Festival of the Arts) may well be the biggest thing to hit our little town of Morgan Hill in years. Did you ever expect to be able to see Smashmouth, Alien Ant Farm and the Mythbusters (Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman)? All in the same week? in Morgan Hill? I know I sure didn’t!

But seeing them all I will, thanks to ArtTec and the Ann Sobrato Performing Arts Center. But that’s just the beginning (and the end in the case of the Mythbusters). Here’s a more complete schedule…

Thursday, May 15
Gates open at 6:30pm – Show starts at 7:00pm

Student Art Exhibition and Auction – Meet a variety of highly talented artists
This is your chance to bid on their works, and take home a great work of art Comedy Sportz an afternoon of laughs with this nationally acclaimed comedy troop

In the evening, enjoy the music of fourwayfree fresh off their nationwide tour

Dancing with the Teachers – Morgan Hill teachers team up with professional dancers
It’s your turn to give the grades. Who will pass the test?

Swing Dance Workshop – learn how to Swing, no experience necessary

Wednesday, May 21

MYTHBUSTERS Live! with Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman
A rare personal appearance by the stars of Discovery Channel’s most popular show

Go behind the scenes with Adam and Jamie! Learn how they use modern-day science to uncover the reality and fiction in urban myths for their popular Discovery Channel Show Mythbusters. They’ll answer your questions during a rare audience Q&A, and you’ll see never before seen footage and television outtakes.
