It’s an immutable law of the universe: something’s always got to give. The two most recent examples here in Morgan Hill-
Deli in Safeway @ Tennant Station -
The Good -
They finally fixed the deli coolers!! So now all of that scrumptious deli goodness is once again on display to tempt our friends and neighbors.
The Bad -
They raised the price of their deli sandwiches by 10% (from $499 to $5.49). I suppose I should have seen this coming when they started giving out coupons for one free deli sandwich when you’ve purchased 7 (and used your loyalty card).
Subway Sandwiches @ Fast Stop Center -
The Good -
The $5 footlong deal is still going strong and service is as amazing as ever.
The Bad -
Every single time I’ve walked back from Subway with my sandwiches in the last week or so the bag handle has broken. That’s roughly ten times out of ten. This wasn’t happening when I first started going to Subway, so I must assume that they were still using leftover bags ordered before the $5 promotion began. At least they lowered the quality of the bags before lowering the quality of the food
