10,000 Egg Easter Egg Hunt on March 23
Just received a flier on my door a few minutes ago from Crossroads Christian Center.
We’re constantly receiving fliers and tracts from the various churches in Morgan Hill. I assume it’s because I live in low cost housing and everyone knows poor people need to be “saved” more than everyone else (or something like that). This one actually seems pretty cool, though.
Ten thousand Easter eggs is a hell (heaven?) of a lot! According to the flyer they’ll have candy eggs, cash eggs, and prize egss. Prizes include Easter baskets, plush bunnies, chocolate easter eggs (more eggs!), $1, $5, and $20 bills and (of course) more! There are going to be four separate divisions in order to keep the littlest munchkins from being trampled. The four divisions are: Preschool/Kindergarten, 1st thru 3rd grade, 4th thru 6th grade, and Junior/Senior High. As if that’s not enough they’re going to have a jump house as well!
Apparently all of this will take place immediately following “Kids Blast Rally” and 10:30am Easter service. For those early risers they’re also having a 6:30am Sunrise Service as well as “Starbucks Coffee & Donuts” at 9:30am. Not sure why they feel the need to point out that the coffee is Starbucks, but perhaps their sponsorship is what allows them to hide 10,000 easter eggs and give away all of those prizes for FREE.
I was planning on taking the kids to this Easter Egg Hunt a few years back, but it was raining and G was acting like a brat. This year Z will be in Washington visiting my mother on Easter, but I may well drop by and take some photos for y’all. No promises, though.
